Temple Square

We love to get away for the weekends so whenever we have the chance we take it!  We haven't been up to utah in over a year so we thought it was time to get up there and see some family and some friends!  Along the way we decided to go tubing which was a ton of fun!

We woke up early friday morning and drove up to provo where we stopped to do a little bit of shopping.  Steve and I were staying with my amazing friend Krista who always lets us stay with her and i love it because we get to see her and her family and catch up with them!

On saturday we woke up and drove up to park city to go tubing with Em and Ry and our nephews!  It was snowing that day so i think it scared everybody away because there was hardly anybody there!  After that we all met at Tucanos which is one of our favorite places to eat and it never disappoints!  After lunch we walked around Salt Lake and went to both of the malls and finished the night up at temple square looking at all the beautiful lights! We had such a great time!

On Sunday we drove up to Toole and surprised my Grandma and Grandpa Conger!  My Grandma was so surprised she didn't even know who we were for a little bit!  It was so fun to visit and be with them for a few hours!  They were so happy to see us!!

It is so fun to get away for the weekend to visit friends and family. It is also a lot of fun to get a way with steve-i just love being with him!!

ThanksGiving 2014

The years just keep getting faster and faster...Steve doesn't mind because that means Flagstaff comes quicker!  Every Thanksgiving we head up to Flagstaff AZ with the Tidwell's.  Although it is not the traditional thanksgiving that i am used to and love-i do love seeing how happy and excited Steve gets for his favorite trip of the year. And i love just hanging out with all of our family all weekend!

Its a weekend filled with movies, food, and games!  Steve LOVES it because all the boys get together and play video games all night long...he is in heaven!

We had such a great time with our family and are so grateful the we have the opportunity to go and spend the weekend with them! We are soo blessed!

Halloween 2014

Well we LOVE halloween.  We met right before halloween and as i was looking through steve's old photos i noticed he always had dressed up and it was always amazing.  So i told him that we needed to always have a good costume.  Every year it sneaks up on us and we find ourselves scrambling to find something good.

This year we didn't really have anything to go to so we i wasn't really thinking/worrying about it.  Well we just moved into a new ward and i signed up to bring some chili so we did have that to attend to.  Our last ward everybody dressed up and went all out and we didn't want to feel like losers and not dress up so STEVE came up with this...

I thought it turned out great!  But guess what...we pulled up to the ward party and we were the only adults dressed up...

EMBARRASSING...

Steve just told me to own it-so we did.  He is a pretty sexy Danny!

Worthen Family Pictures

My mom wanted to get family pictures done before Ryan and Brittany moved to Idaho so we quickly put something together.  The boys always make the biggest fuss about taking pictures.  Deep down they really love it.  I love my Family!!

Men love Meat!!

Steve had his first hunting trip and boy did he have a good time!  He went with my dad and my brothers.  He shot his first dear and it was quite an experience for him.  He just absolutely loved it.  He brought home a big cooler filled with meat.  He made some BOMB jerky.  I am glad he had such a good time!

This Hunks 27th B-day cont.

Well because of friends and family steves birthday was a success! (well at least i think it was) hopefully the older i get the more creative i can get because we have a lot more birthdays to spend together!
Age 27 and as handsome as ever!

I have such a fun, loving, creative, intelligent, silly man on my hands and I LOVE IT!!

I made it all from scratch! No cake mix!
So we first went to dinner with steve's whole family which was awesome! His grandparents and aunt and uncle were all in town so we all had a great time at Lucille's!  After dinner i had a few of our friends meet at the Suncoast to surprise steve-funny thing was we pulled up at the same time as ryan and brittany so i was trying to play it off like it was a coincidence and then we get to the bowling ally and Rusty and Jessica are right up front buying their stuff.  (i guess my family isn't very good at surprises)  But it was just to have ppl there that love steve and we all had a good time! Later that week we celebrated with my family-we went to BJs and had an awesome dinner.  Last year i was such a loser and didn't get/make steve a cake.  I figured my mom and his mom would make one (which is what usually happens) but neither of them did.  So i tried to make up for it this year.  I made him this layered strawberry cake and bought him an ice cream cake that he got to decorate so he had a good time!
Finished product!

Steves awesome Adventure Time art!

The Hunt

Here's the story!

Last October we moved out of our apartment and in with my parents. My dad basically begged Steve and I to move in with them! My mom was soo excited! She had a full house: me & steve, rusty & jessica, mom & dad, and lexie.  So for the past year we have basically been living in fantasy land! Every Sunday my mom would make us breakfast, we all took turns making dinner each week and we hardly had any bills!  It was quite nice!

Before we moved out we decided we wanted to be in a house by may...well we weren't quite ready then but we did start looking for houses in may!  May, June, July, August all came and gone and we didn't find or win anything we liked.  Talking with our realtor (Ethan Hardinger)  we thought more houses were going to be released in october so we decided to not be as aggressive in looking and kinda slow down a bit.  That next week I saw a few houses on MLS that interested me so i sent over the ML# to Ethan to see when we could go see them.

We ended up going to 2 houses. (this is on Sat. Aug. 24, 2013)  One was a one story but trashed and had a weird layout.  We kept saying we wanted a one story three car garage, but every one story we looked at was older or not in the right area.  This other one was a two story up in Providence.  We didn't really want a two story and we didn't really want to live in Providence because we didn't want to pay all the fees.  But we were already there and decided to go in and check it out.

Usually when i look at houses i am super thorough and look in everything and turn everything on.  Well we walk in this house and i just get this feeling like this might be our house.  We do a super quick walk through, i hardly touch anything but steve and i just both had this smile on our face.  We loved the layout! It was a 3 bedroom with an office downstairs and a loft upstairs!

As we leave the house i tell steve that i had that feeling and he said he did too!  As we were walking down the stairs he said "next time i touch this wall it could be mine!"  So we went home to discuss what we wanted to offer.  The market at this point in time was a sellers market.  Home prices were going up and if you really wanted the house you had to offer more than asking price.  Well it was listed for $179.999 so we were discussing $185.  We went to cafe rio with my family and i was just freaking out about it. I didn't know what to do.  Finally i said to steve lets just offer $180 and if we get it then it is meant to be and if we don't then there is something else out there!

Well we officially signed our papers to submit the offer on the next day, Sun Aug 25, 2013.  We decided to drive up there and look at the house and see if we were going to be ok living all the way out in Providence!  Well it started pouring rain on our way up!  For those of you who don't know we LOVE the rain-its kinda our thing-we played in the rain the first day we met and it has rained on a few other important days in our life.  So i look at steve and say "its RAINING! on the day we put our offer in on this house! What if we get it!"

On monday the next day i get a call from Ethan saying that our offer was ACCEPTED! holy cow it just got real! i got scared/excited!  All sorts of emotions were going through me the next few days.  It is a scary decision but we prayed about it and everything felt right!  It was a traditional sale so it was going to go fast!  We got everything ready, filled out, and handled!  It closed like 2 and a half weeks after that!

We got our keys September 17, 2013.  That night we were at the house getting things ready to be cleaned and i noticed the date!  We met October 17, 2010, were engaged November 17, 2010 and now officially got our house on Sept 17th!  It is crazy! i decided 17 is our lucky number!!
went up to see our house the day we put the offer in!
WE LOVE THE RAIN!!
