Graduate

HOLY COW-one thing coming to and end and another thing started. I couldn't have planned it more perfectly! I sometimes doubted myself and didn't think I could finish or simply didn't care to finish but I DID!!! and I honestly can't believe its already over-can I just say that it is a great feeling!! 2010 has been a great year and I couldn't think of a better way to finish it off!

years in waiting

On November 17th 2010 my prince Steven Blake Tidwell popped the question.

I couldn't have dreamed of a better proposal-my second home, The Thomas & Mack where I spend most of my time. In confusion I was guided to the corner of the floor where my sweetheart came out in a suit with roses in his hand and asked me to be his wife for time and all eternity. My heart melted-I was in shock and couldn't believe it was happening. I have never been happier in my whole entire life.

Love is in the Air

If you would have told me three years ago that I would graduate college and get married shortly after...I would have laughed in your face. These were 2 dreams of mine that seemed so far away-so far that I may not ever reach them. But here I am a college graduate and engaged!

I never imagined it would have happened this quick. Steven Blake Tidwell and I met on October 17th at a sacrament meeting wrapping up a singles conference. (i never thought it was possible to meet someone at a singles conference!) We were supposed to meet this day-so many events led up to the second before we met. My friend was eye ballin him earlier so I was trying to set them up and get her in, as I was chattin away, being my sassy self, little did I know that a month later this same guy would be proposing to me!

This is how the story goes...his roommate was talking to me because I knew him from institute a couple years ago. Steve gave him a ride so was waiting for him to get done talking. He was just standing there so I was trying to be nice and include him in our conversation in hopes for him and my friend to meet. Well they ended up getting my number and inviting us over to play pool that night. I told my friend to go so she could get to know him-but I had to go do a paper with a friend. They were basically begging me to come over but school was much more important so I told them if I finished my paper I would come.

SOOO home I went knowing that there was no way I would finish this paper in time to go all the way back on their side of town. 30 min later I get a text asking if I was done...I said NO-about every 30 min I would get a text of some sort. Well my friend who was doing this paper with me had to leave so I was debating going over there. Normally once I am home I don't go back out and I never drive to the opposite side of town 2X in one day. But my mom of all people encouraged me to go. I got there hoping that him and my friend hit it off but she was on the phone so we started playing pool together. (it was perfect because I could totally be myself because I wasn't trying to impress him)

well you know me (miss competitive) so I was trash talkin him and talking myself up...and he was just eatin it up. After a while I started to realize that this kid was a lot of fun and that I really liked him. He did everything right. We were both super comfortable with eachother.

anyway...it started pooring rain and I had mentioned that I LOVE the rain-and loved playin in it. So he suggested that we did. Double points-he was fun and spontaneous. So like the little kids we are we played in the rain. When I left his house I had a feeling that this kid was going to be a part of my life. I woke my mom up and told her that I might have met my future husband. The next day he came to my family home evening and then we went to yogartland and talked for 3 hours. I couldn't get enough and apparently neither could he-we haven't spent a day apart.
